At Runners Plus, we believe that movement is powerful. It builds confidence, supports physical and mental health, and helps people of all ages start strong—especially at the beginning of a new year.

That’s why we’re proud to partner with Shoes 4 the Shoeless as our January Charity Partner.

Why Shoes Matter

Supportive, well-fitting shoes are essential—not just for running, but for everyday life. They allow kids to move comfortably, participate in school activities, and feel confident among their peers. Unfortunately, for many children in our own community, access to proper footwear is not guaranteed.

In Southwest Ohio, an estimated 65% of children live in poverty, and many are in desperate need of basic essentials like shoes and socks. Wearing worn-out or ill-fitting shoes can lead to physical discomfort, missed opportunities for play and movement, and lasting social and emotional challenges.

 

About Shoes 4 the Shoeless

Founded in 2010, Shoes 4 the Shoeless, Inc. is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing new, correctly fitting gym shoes and socks to children in need throughout Southwest Ohio. Through an efficient and compassionate distribution system, they help eliminate one of poverty’s most visible stigmas—while restoring dignity, confidence, and comfort to children who need it most.

To date, Shoes 4 the Shoeless has helped well over 200,000 children, ensuring they have the footwear they need to move, learn, and grow.
